Mary Lou's is owned by Ray and Chris Hatfield.  Mary Lou's is named after Ray's Mom whom we lost to pancreatic cancer.  The loss was devasting to the family and butterflies reminded us of her.  The blue morphos remind us of her bright blue eyes.  Originally when we started the company, we thought that we would try to share butterflies with others who had lost a loved one from cancer because when a butterfly appears, a loved one is near was a philosophy.  That thought changed into trying to share the beauty of all the different butterflies with as many people as we can.  It has been healing for our family to share these butterflies and we hope you all enjoy them as much as we do.
